Christianity & Biology

Christianity & Biology, by Dennis R. Venema, PhD.

These two lectures (C&B I is in two parts) are “special” lectures presented in Intro Biology for non-majors at TWU.  These special lectures focus on the interaction between the Christian community and evolution as a scientific theory.

Lecture 1 examines the importance of evolution as a theory in biology, some lines of evidence for evolution, and then examines the strengths and weaknesses of young-earth creationism as a Christian response to evolution.

Lecture 2 compares the scientific merits of Old-Earth Creationism with both the theistic and atheistic views of evolution.

For those who have been watching my own lecture series, Science and Christian Education, these two lectures are a wealth of technical information for those who want to dig deeper into the science of evolution.  Needless to say, I was more than pleased when Dr. Venema approached me about hosting these lectures on my site.

Note: you might have to adjust the volume to hear the narration.
