The final round of editing is taking longer than expected.  Any project like this, that spans multiple scientific disciplines, requires coordination with a number of experts in their respective fields.  These people are naturally very busy folks, and so delays of this nature are inevitable.  Even though the book is intended for the layperson and is not being marketed as a “scholarly” work, everyone involved in this project is committed to ensuring that the details are accurate. 

As of this post, the anticipated release date will be May.  I can’t yet say whether we are talking about early May or late May, but I’ll update this post if more information becomes available. 

In the meantime, I’m working on having some of my lectures taped and edited for on-line video streaming.  I’ve gotten some very positive feedback from these presentations and I hope that the ease at which media can be distributed over the web will stir up some extra publicity for the book’s release.
